SUMMARY
The Commercial Account Manager secures profitable commercial work for the sales department and develops and maintains strategic relationships within the commercial contracting community. The position exists to strengthen our market share in commercial construction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains and initiates personal contact with customers and potential customers.
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from available sources.
- Collects and evaluates job specifications to generate quotations and develops and chases leads on new products.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules. Assists in preparing accurate and timely backlogs.
- Works to resolve conflicts and problems at job sites.
- Prepares sales forecasts, reports, and miscellaneous paperwork.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Works diligently with sales management team to bid and secure work in a timely manner.
- Maintains commercial leads and status on CRM system.
- Investigates and resolves customer issues with deliveries, quality, and credit. Assists with
collection of overdue A/R, as needed. - Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant sales experience required; or several years’ relevant sales
experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
ACI Level Field Technician certification strongly preferred. Must have a current valid driver’s license.
