Zebra headquarters is a 23,160 square foot two story structure accompanied by a 7,500 square foot warehouse. The project was completed in 10 months, ending in May of 2008. The building will serve as the headquarters for Zebra Construction Company.
Zebra Construction Company acted as the general contractor for the $3,150,000 project along with Kirby Pate and Associates, who served as the architect on the project. Superb quality is noticed as you enter the main entrance. You first notice the canopy supported by illuminated Zebra striped twin columns. The main lobby has a two-story glass waterfall engraved with the mission statement. The concrete floors on both levels are polished and stained. Open work areas and state of the art technology inspired teamwork.
The building was designed with both the employees and visitors in mind. From the two stories lobby that welcomes you to the large conference room, the fitness area, private quarters for late night projects, and of course the barbeque area for all to use. During football season, Zebra sponsors the annual Zebra Tailgate Party in the rear parking area with music and The Varsity providing food and refreshments.
Thomas Concrete provided 1,400 cubic yards of concrete for the project. The project included continuous footings, both slab on grade and elevated concrete slabs were polished and stained, rear parking area, and the warehouse with an elevated slab, curbing and sidewalk, and the patio area.
